Group coaching: For women in STEM to succeed using Dr Lakshmi’s P.O.W.E.R framework
Women make up only 30% of the global STEM workforce, largely due to two issues: fewer women enter STEM fields like engineering and IT, and many who do enter exit early. Causes include societal biases, stereotypes, and inadequate policies that hinder career growth.
To address this, we must raise awareness, combat unconscious bias, and improve supportive policies. Additionally, developing women in STEM as confident, resilient leaders is essential. The RISE and LEAD with POWER program supports this by guiding women through self-awareness and the P.O.W.E.R framework, helping them overcome personal barriers, build confidence, and plan for career advancement.
Personal power is the ability to influence and inspire others through individual characteristics, such as confidence, empathy, and resilience. It nurtures relationships and collaboration, allowing leaders to connect authentically with their teams and communities. By honing this power, individuals can create a positive environment that uplifts everyone involved, leading to greater fulfillment and success for all.
